  • Q
  • Why has the E-mail Service been discontinued?
  • A
  • There could be several reasons why the E-mail Service to subscribers has been discontinued. The two most common reasons are as follows:
    1) If your system utilizes e-mail filtering or anti-SPAM software, please check your filter or software to determine whether our E-mail Service content is being filtered or blocked. For this, review your “bulk” or “spam” folder to check if our e-mail transmission had been diverted there.
    2) Your e-mail address may have been “bounced,” (or deemed invalid), in which case our server will automatically suspend further transmission to this address. If you believe that this might be the case, please contact koreafocus@kf.or.kr to resume.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact koreafocus@kf.or.kr.
  • Q
  • What kind of content is featured in the Korea Focus?
  • A
  • The Korea Focus includes two sections: Commentaries and Essays. The Commentaries section provides an overview of recent developments in Korea based on the articles and columns of leading Korean newspapers and periodicals, related to the subject areas of Politics/International Relations, Economy, Society and Culture. As for the Essays section, it includes selected papers that present an in-depth discussion of Korea-related matters and issues.
  • Q
  • How are the articles and essays selected for inclusion in the Korea Focus?
Is it possible to contribute an article for publication in the Korea Focus?
  • A
  • Publication of the Korea Focus is overseen by a 10-member Editorial Board, comprised of prominent Korean journalists, academics, and community representatives. A preliminary listing is compiled of pertinent articles and essays, which have already been published in Korean newspapers, magazines, and journals. From this listing, the Editorial Board selects the individual items for inclusion in the upcoming Korea Focus edition. As such, contributed articles are generally not considered for publication. However, if you believe that you have any appropriate article for inclusion in the Korea Focus, please submit additional information for our consideration to koreafocus@kf.or.kr.
  • Q
  • How can I comment on an article that I found to be inaccurate or inappropriate?
  • A
  • The articles and essays selected for publication in the Korea Focus are based on original materials that have already been published in Korean print media or papers presented at related conferences and seminars.
The selected Korean materials are translated into English “as is,” and then published and posted on our website. Therefore, the views and opinions of the Korea Focus content are those of the individual writers and media sources, related to which the Editorial Board and Korea Foundation do not express any comment. In this case, any comments from subscribers, related to Korea Focus content, would have to be directed to the respective individual writers or media sources.
  • Q
  • Is it possible to reprint content from the Korea Focus?
  • A
  • The Korea Foundation maintains a copyright for its English-language content. Reprinting of this content, for non-commercial use, is possible, provided that permission is obtained from the respective individual writers/media sources. (Photo images may not be reprinted.) If you need any assistance for this, please contact koreafocus@kf.or.kr.
  • Q
